Since 1955, the achievements of the US and the USSR in rocket science allowed launching artificial satellites. As a result, it gave an opportunity to start active space exploration.
The Space Age was beginning…
There was a success in the creation of space stations and probes for the complex research of the planets of the Solar System. Also, there were first attempts of the transmission of interstellar messages from humanity to possible intelligent creatures outside of the Solar System.
At the beginning of 1960, the first teams of astronauts were gathered and the first spacecraft were designed. Successful tests of rocket vehicles with spaceships were carried on.
In a year, the USSR launches the spacecraft “Vostok-1” boarded with the first man, who had ever flown to the Earth’s orbit. This man was an astronaut Yuri Gagarin.
Each year the spaceships were improving. New tasks were being solved and new researches were carried on.
In 1964, the spacecraft “Voskhod 2” was modified and given into the control of the crew that consisted of Pavel Belyaev, the captain, and Alexei Leonov, the pilot, with the aim of sending an astronaut to outer space.

Since 1961, the US was actively developing and testing a series of manned spacecraft “Apollo” designed for the flights of three persons. Their main mission was to deliver astronauts to the Moon.
The official count of such missions was started from Apollo 4 and the launch of an uncrewed rocket vehicle Saturn.
On January 27, 1967, three weeks before the launch, there was a fatal fire during the test of a spacecraft. The victims of the disaster were astronauts Virgil Ivan Grissom (he had two travels in space), Edward Higgins White II (the first American in open space), and Roger Bruce Chaffee. The canceled mission was entitled Apollo 1 to memorize the deceased astronauts.

The Cold War and the Space Race were going on…
After the completion of the Apollo program in the US, NASA initiates the project aimed at the creation of reusable space vehicles. Its main goal was the delivery of large payloads to near-Earth orbit and, as a consequence, creation of an inhabited base on the Moon, and manned trips to Mars with further disembarkment of the crew to its surface.
Space Shuttles were launched to space with the use of a pair of Solid Rocket Boosters and a large external tank for main engines. The largest crew of the space shuttle consisted of eight astronauts. Usual flights of these spacecraft lasted from five to sixteen days.
The USSR was strongly concerned about the development of the Space Shuttle program as it was searching for a hidden military threat. One of its main considerations was the possibility for Shuttle to carry nuclear arms and capture the satellite Salyut 7 on the Earth’s orbit.
In total, the US designed five Shuttles (two of which were destroyed in disasters) and one prototype. The flights to space were carried on from April 12, 1981, to June 21, 2011. During the thirty-year period of the maintenance of Space Shuttles, there were 135 launches.

On February 11, 1985, Salyut 7, the only orbital space station in the world designed by the USSR, stopped responding to the signals sent by ground control. The radio communication was interrupted and there was no data regarding the orientation and location of the station. It meant that the station was in the state of free falling…
There was a need for the first manual docking with the space station in history, identification of the cause of the malfunction and its elimination. To save the station and avoid the disaster, on June 6, 1985, it was decided to send two astronauts, Vladimir Dzhanibekov and Viktor Savinykh from the launch site Baikonur.

The question of death has been the main issue in all religions and scientific branches as well as people’s reflections. If humanity continues living on Earth it is doomed because, one day, the Sun will explode and go out. To save our species for millions and billions of years, we should set forth to space and plant our seeds in a new world.
Now we are here with peace and hope for all humanity.

This album is an absolute banger. The riffs are especially groovy this time, the vocals are amazing, and the overall thing is supercatchy. If I'd have to list one downside, it's that the mix is so bass-heavy that the sound only truely comes into it's right when listened on good headphones or extremely good speakers. On anything less it can sound like the bass drowns the rest of the music out. 9/10
